Starting off as junior assistant at Moda&Modi salon in Turin, Italy at the age of 17, Giovanni has been at the forefront of the hairdressing scene over the past 25 years.

Between 1995 and 2002, Giovanni worked as a stylist in Turin, collaborating with the talented Enzo Caruso, who now runs one of the biggest Toni & Guy Salon in Europe. In his early Italian years, Giovanni discovered the English way of hairdressing, growing his passion for the English philosophy of cutting and colouring hair. He moved to London in 2002 to further his skills and education, always pursuing perfection and new cutting edge styles.
 

While getting some solid experience working in various trendy and independent salons around the city, he attended the Vidal Sassoon Academy in London to refine his touch and sharpen his shears.
He also had several one to one training sessions with John Santilli, the leading teacher of the London Sassoon Academy in the 70's.
Giovanni joined the London Sanrizz team in 2006. Initially based at the Knightsbridge branch, he worked his way up to become a manager in Covent Garden first, and a creative stylist for the Muswell Hill Brunch then.
Giovanni's approach to cutting hair is quite unique. He gives importance to the consultation stage and to the details, creating geometric textured shapes and giving a personal touch to each customer.

Giovanni has worked as Brand Ambassador to some European colour companies and as freelance, sharing his vision with fashion designers in Italy, Europe and the UK. He has always seen education as a very important part of his hairdressing career and is always learning and looking for new inspiration, traveling and training around Europe constantly.
 

Giovanni connects hair, music and all art forms and uses this to create inspirational looks. He is very much involved in the underground art world in the East End of London and works with fashion designers, musicians, visual artists and artists from this area.
